Each client with a MetaTrader trading account has two passwords – a master password (also known as a trading password) and an investor password. Each password gives you different permissions in the trading account:
- The master (trading) password allows you to log in to trade and manage your account without any restrictions. This means that you can open new orders and modify or close existing ones;
-
When you log in with an investor password, you are not permitted to trade. You can only see open trades and account history. This password is used to demonstrate your trading to other traders or investors so that they can evaluate your trading strategy.
In the case of giving an investor password to third parties, you do not have to worry about your funds' safety because the viewers will not be able to manipulate your orders.
